UN Irish Pub Players

  • Chris Coombes

Once again he is taking the skippers armband and leading the troops from the front. Looking forward to some long bowling spells with his ‘spitting grenades’ and masterly occupation of the crease he hopes to go one better on last years 0/5 win streak.

  • Mark Robinson

Our secret weapon has been charging in from the golf course end this term and looking sharp with the ball….batting seems to be his Achilles but he has now mastered the heave to leg and has great hopes of a successful campaign. His drinking skills will be soundly tested.

  • Noor

Back in the side after a year away and adding some Eastern promise to the team, Noor is keen to bolster his trophy cabinet with more baubles from the UN Irish team. His relentless need for alcohol and ability to play under the influence can only boost his chances of another successful season in the team.

  • Phil Catterall

Back for another season his dashing batting and deadly bowling will have the opposition quaking in their boots. A few surprising emails about being on the wagon have left the team a little mystified and surviving a week in CM will test his resolve to the limit. Let’s hope his passport is valid this time around.

UN Irish Pub Supporters

  • Sandy Cullen

All great Generals lead from the back and Sandy is no exception to this rule. His constant positive attitude and love for all things Pommie always help keep the moral up in the team. There are rumors that he might even come out of retirement and turn his arm over. His exceptional drinking skills are a crucial asset for the team.

  • WAGS

Lulu Coombes and Emer Catterall add some much needed colour and sophistication to the team. Their love for the game and avid support of the team is highlighted with their willingness to ease the aches and pains of some of the younger opponents. This generous ‘hands on policy’ makes them a special addition to the squad.
